quicktime messing up macro files?

seems I am unable to open up my macro files unless I delete itunes and quicktime. I am also having trouble saving a file as a macro.

There is prolly an easy fix to this and most know it im sure, but I just cant find one

right click and select "open with" there should be a drop down menu, select notepad (or some other text editor) if its not already an option on the drop down menu choose "Choose Program" and select notepad from there.

Remind me again why windows decided to have the extension determine what program to use on the file?
