MMOLoader Update Problems

Hey guys,

I've noticed three people having problems updating using MMOLoader today. Can you post in this thread if you are still having problems updating. I'm trying to track down and figure it out but currently am at a loss at what could be causing it.

For the time being, those having problems, I would just download the Pre-Compiled Zip and copy the dll's over, to get the latest version.

Just had to download updates (swear that I did that yesterday), didnt have any problem yesterday or today.

I am still having the MMO loader problem. It connects to update server but then fails to update.

I have totally disabled Firewall, turned off AV software, turned off UAC.

I have done this on 3 diff pcs each with a diff operating system.

I have also done the pre compile, however after copying all the dll over manually the mmo loader still requires 1 greyed out update (MQUI PortalSetterWindowxml) and therefore it does not update.

Was working fine before rebooted PC yesterday and since then cant log in / update.

Tried fresh instal and same problem.

Tried with fresh install?

Disabled firewall/anti-virus?

Aye I have been having the same issues for the past 2 days, disable firewall and it is still not updating.

If you hit Cancel not Update when you load up it starts no problem ( have to click continue on next warning box )

All works fine then. So guessing just a patching/version problem ?

Loader uses https for communication. Updates 'check' and 'listing' uses http. The actual updates uses ftp. If you can log in, etc., but not get updates, then something on your end (pc, router, etc.) is causing ftp not to work.

I have problems with the loader. They are intermittent though - sometimes it downloads and sometimes it says it cant connect to download server.

McAfee is consistently reporting a trojan horse in daurface.exe and won't allow it to be updated. Download of dsurface fails, but everything works.

Thank you for posting info. DSurface is fine, some a/v do not like the way it injects in order to the direct surface overlay (directx).
