Most of us know about MQ2LinkDB.

Maybe some (or perhaps just me) didn't know how to update the database file, to stop getting all those dead links.


First off, if you don't know about it, MQ2LinkDB works much the same way the old bots did. Simply feed it the name of an item you want, and it returns a link to you.

(ie.) /link Staff of Everliving Brambles
or /link brambles

Over time new items are added, and some links die out. To update the database file go here -- http://eqitems.13th-floor.org/download.php -- and get the Text zip file.

Extract it into your MQ folder, go into the game and /plugin MQ2LinkDB

then issue the command /link /import

Your computer will freeze momentarily while it converts the file, and viola!

You now have a link to most every item in the game.

Thanks for the info, tried to do this myself once, didnt work. Did what you said and is working great.
