A new, similar problem has been affecting me all night. Hitting the new posts link directs me to http://www.mmobugs.com/forums/search.php?do=getnew , as it should I believe, but that page just displays a bunch of raw PHP code.
Fry, if it's server-side and intermittent, it might be resource throttling on the backend somewhere if it during higher usage times.
Or if there are any backups that happen during the intermittent outage, it might be locking resources for a bit as part of that (unlikely, but possible).
I have never had an issue, but I only hit the website a few times a day.
If it does happen still, if you can narrow it down to being a global issue, vs. localized ISP issue that would be good. ie.. If outage is happening, NO source can access that resources, vs. only sources originating from a certain country or ISP.
One thing I recently noted was I updated the firmware on my Asus router and two new features were added: adaptive QoS and network packet malware scanning.
I have both functions disabled, but network packet malware scanning starting to come out on routers would be good to keep in mind (doubtful it would cause client to server issues, but good to be aware of).
