I'm not questioning what makes MQ2 not ok, but frojm SoE's standpoint what makes programs like Gina and GTT ok?

Here is what I'm thinking:

Both read from log files and do not inject things into the client (or are they because they can send/extract triggers to EQ and do text overlays).

They are do not take an in game action after a trigger condition is met, just give notification. IE Automation.

Technically these programs are not ok according to the EULA but SoE turns a blind eye to them.

Those aren't 3rd party apps interacting with Sony, that's just a log parser. MQ2 is different in that is reads EQ's memory and and some changes it makes changes. Active hacks make significant changes in memory that Sony can detect.

To be clear, active stuff is not detected by sony in that way (client side), as long as the client is protected. They are doing some tricks on their server, to 'catch' some stuff - which we have documented and made clear to people.

Carry on...
