Need to buy a new laptop

I have up to 1500 usd to spend. The more bang for buck the better.
What should I be getting?

Personally I love the look of the new mac's but they're on the not-so-cheap side of the table if you look at most specs if I'm correct.

Any ideas?

Depends what you want the laptop for really.

If I was going for gaming.

I would go with this one and toss in an upgraded processor.

i have a sager laptop and it runs extremely well but it looks/feels cheaply made. for example my keyboard does a sort of wave and the the speakers area in the top left/right if i push down on it, it like gives away? idk its like its not even glued lol. very cheap feeling but has good components etc so it works

i have a amd t19 laptop. 2gigs of ram...2gig readyboost(i think it helps..not sure tho.) it cost 800$$ brand new and runs 8 acts w/ minimal lag...six w/ no lag @ 800x600.

mainly when deciding what u want, u need to decide EVERYTHing ur going to do w/ the laptop. if its just for eq, you don't need to spend over 1k.

that same computer i bought 2 yrs ago is going for like 500 atm. its just a duel core hp.

OOH, btw my "other" laptop was an intel gateway and it did run eq better...same basic specs...just smoother it seemed. same price too.
