I downloaded both of those, but not sure where to go from there. Never used a macro before. And neither of those files is a .mac format, which is what i thought i neede to run the macro. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would try redownloading the files from the OP then. I just looked at them and it has all the includes and the macro file that he states is needed by his macro.

When I run this macro, I got to the part of equiping the pet and it:

- Summons item, opens trade window with pet
- drops item into inventory
- Says "Invalid item slot 'pack-22'"

Any ides what I am doing wrong there?

Did that for me when I didnt have an open inventory slot...not sure if thats the case for you but figured I would mention it.

What he means is, can we have some simple instructions, like:

1) load macroquest etc
2) type xxxxxx.mac
3) edit xxxx.ini

that kind of thing as most mac's just list what they can do, the history of how they were created...... and nothing about how to use them or what to do in different situations, like how do you set up group mode, how do you set up solo mode, a list of the commands that you can use......

Which i maybe a total stranger to the .mac, but a few friends of mine has started to teach me some of the other macros that can be run with them.

However, he pasted this link to me other day about this MageBot, which is something he said its perfect for my mage if i ever go afk, and i can exp on a regular flow to keep the experience coming in.

The OP posted some detail about how to set .ini and how to install in his first posting in the thread. Then this thread has discussion about the macro. Many people using this macro, so I'm sure when you get to a spot you don't understand someone will be able to assist if you post your question in this thread. If you are new to macro's in general, I would take a few moments and read through some of the links in my signature box.

I'm not that great at setting these up and so I need some help. When I start this macro it goes through the pet focus part but that's it.

I want to run in group mode but the mage just sits there, what am I doing wrong ? Thanks for the help.

You need to fill out the SelfBuffNAme spots as well not just the Text and Slot fields.

I dont know if blank fields will cause problems if you have a "Value=0" but better safe than sorry to just put Null or False in those blank fields.

But you should change that Value to 3 and move your SoDS from 5 to that 3rd slot.

If all of the above doesnt work try changing your: MainAssist=MYTANK to the actual name of your tank even if it is a merc.

Still not working go to your logs and post them here so someone can figure out where it is getting hung up.

I'm loving this mac on my 81 mage. Thanks for the tools to make him an 85 mage!

I do find that if i start the mac with a pet already up, it doesn't buff the pet, is this known behavior or am i an idiot and doing something wrong in my ini?

Pets attacking

I run this with a warrior (pull mac) enchanter (enchanter mac) and 2 mages, works and cast just fine for about 5 or 6 mobs then will just suddenly send pets out to engage target which of course causes pull mac to stop working (warrior just sits there spamming you need a target blah blah) have mage macro set for group mode, assist at 90% wondering why it keeps doing this randomly, seems to do it only when a mob spawn fairly close but outsdie the safe distance. Posting my ini and help would be greatly appreciated and over all this is a great macro. I do of course have a mainassist just didn't want to include the toon name. Many thanks in advance.

Devestator made this mac so it worked at basically any level, but he does recommend having the pet aa's if using it as an afk bot.
