Help- Is this a WoW Scam?!

Easiest way to tell if you are ever in doubt is look at the 2nd to last part of the domain name. In the link you gave

eu.worldofwarcraft.requestverify.us

The actual domain of this website is requestverify.us

The eu.worldofwarcraft. part is just a site sub domain. You cannot put a sub domain, after you primary domain in an address, it just isn't possible with DNS routing and such.

The whois information on that domain is below. It's probably fake data, unless the scammer is really stupid. But I highly doubt Blizzard would have a domain registered as "Government of India" hehe.

Code:

Aye, the only two domains sanctioned by Blizzard is Blizzard.com and Battle.net... anything else, any extra letter, etc. isn't them. Some of these GM e-mails from "WoW admins" do a poor job at concealing it.

It IS for SURE a scam

I sent it to Battlenet, and they said it was.

Just make sure to keep all your antivirus and such up to date and keep track of that authenticator. Any time you call them they'll ask for the serial number that's on the back of it and if you don't have it, you'll have to go through the account retrieval part I told you about before you can get into the account again.

Seems they're targeting SC2 now, got this in my spam folder today.

International Scambags

They need to create an international court like the Hague for scammers who who hide behind the borders of lawless countries and perpetrate these scams witout consequences. I say 100 % extradition and capital punishment for repeat offenders.

I win the effing UK lottery or inherit money from someone in Nigeria 8 times a week. Where does it end?

Tell them to team up with that one king in south America. The one who asks for some sort of investment to his cause and he will make you a millionaire. Tell them to send your inheritance to him.

What about all my russian women marriage requests!

Ok whew, thanks! I didn't access it, how sad, why are people after WoW accounts so bad?

No one has ever tried to steal my EQ accounts
Not just WoW. One of the members of my guild was dumb enough to answer to an email like yours and both his accounts were accessed and all trade gear and plat were gone when he got them back 2 days later.

Live and learn.. Good Hunting!

A few years ago one of my friends fell for a scam. The scammer would send out tells to people, they would start off with "Guess who" and the targeted victim would guess one of their friends name and the scammer would pretend to be them. Eventually the scammer would con the password out of them. Whats funny is the guy only changed the password and really didn't do anything noticable. Just stood around doing nothing in PoK.

i dont even have a wow account ahd got that email like 20 times

same here, I even sent an e-mail to the legit Blizzard site trying to ensure that there was no account tied to my e-mail. Their reply was,"You're correct in thinking this is a scam" DUH, I told them that, they never did answer my question though lol.
I even received similar e-mails for a game that I've never played, even on a trial sub, Aion I think it was. Started with an A at any rate.
