MQ2Melee - disable automatic auto attack?

I've been playing more and more with MQ2Melee, as where before I always disliked it because it just won't leave your /autoattack state alone, and I can't figure out how to change that.

If you swap mobs with MQ2Melee loaded, auto attack gets turned off. If you manually turn auto attack off, while MQ2Melee is loaded, it instantly turns it back on. Is there a way to have MQ2Melee not enable or disable auto attack state?
 
i think you can use:
overrideif=0

if that doesnt work you would need to use a macro to control attack on and off or use mq2bot.
 
Doesn't MQ2Bot require MQ2Melee to fire melee spam discs and such tho? I'm wanting to manually play the character, with MQ2Melee automating some of my discs only, and doing nothing else.

The only thing override seemed to do is cause auto attack to turn on every time an NPC is targeted.

mq2bot only uses mq2melee for the sticking/attack stuff and so that you can automate whatever skills you want. it doesnt require it though. You can enable/disable everything in mq2bot via settings. But ya, you can just use a simple assist mac and do everything in mq2melee if you want.
 
That looks to fix the problem of not being able to toggle auto attack off while a mob is targeted. However, it still toggles auto attack off when I switch targets.

Thought EQ also auto shut off attack when you swapped targets.
 
EQ doesn't by default. I'm not sure if there is a way to set EQ up to do that or not, but that's not what I want happening :p. I just want MQ2Melee to not enable or disable auto attack. To just leave auto attack alone.

And I know it's MQ2Melee doing it, as when I swap targets and auto attack gets disabled it echos "MQ2Melee::TARGET SWITCH taking actions."

that was the override setting i referenced. that is checked when you change targets. by default i believe it leaves attack on when switching if i am reading it correctly.
 
i know its not topic related, but my stick only works after i log in when i unload mq2melee plug and reload, what might be doing that?

ps: i used my mq2 folder from months ago when came back and updated with mmobugs.

You're not the only one. It does it to me. Even unloading it and reloading it does nothing for me though. I have mentioned it but never heard anything back.
 
I thought I mentioned it elsewhere (pretty sure), but have asked, to look at the melee options when that happens.

1) You notice you are not sticking.
2) Type: /melee
3) Note any stickXXX settings

I can't reproduce it no matter what order I load/unload, but then again, i don't run macros or plugins that might change some melee values.

I suspect it's getting some stick values turned off. If you don't save them that way, reloading would fix it. Of course, if the option gets saved, it WILL stay that way.

But even if I'm totally wrong on what's going on with it, keep in mind NOTHING has changed for that in some years (from the MU side as well as the Melee side). The only reason a few things have been tried, was after a few people started observing it (and a couple plugins & macs added).

Not pointing any fingers yet.

At any rate, please report the info I asked, and as I've said before, that will help to track down where it's coming from.

Oh, and also, besides the settings, be sure to be clear on what (if any) macro you are using at the time, and also what plugins you have loaded.

OK since you have stickmode=1 you need stickcmd.

what is that set to?
