I think there's an easy fix for these two items:

1 - I want to stop my melee dps guys from running around so much during battle.

I think there might be a change I can do to the melee.ini

Could someone please give me instructions for that?

2 - my beasts keep meming and casting the spell in gem 1. I don't need them to do that over & over again. Can that be stopped or reduced?

Is that a melee or bot issue?

Thanks in advance,

Post your ini so we can take a look.
By running around can you elaborate?

melee issues

Running around I mean:

toon runs toward mob, fights a bit, then if mob moves a little, he tries to stick but runs past, turns around attacks a bit, repeat, repeat.

I think it's trying to stay behind or with mob but it reduces DPS when he runs past.

The second issue is the regular stopping to mem spells; would love to stop that.

Thnks

help

Bumping this in the hope that someone could help me fix this or figure out a way to reduce the problem.

Thanks,

What is your MQ2Melee settings ?

you stickmode/stickcmd will dictate the movement i think, MQ2Bot relies on that, which is why if you don't have mq2melee setup you melee toons won't move

From memory of course, I could be wrong

But you will want to make sure you mq2melee is using a custom stickcmd
from MQ2Melee wiki
stickmode=[on|off]
If on, it will use the stickcmd as defined in the INI file, if off, it will use the default stick command

then you will want to check the MoveUtils wiki to see which is best for you, it will take a bit of fiddling to see which you prefer, but the default stick is melee range and it'll make minor adjustments, you want to stick to a certain distance and allow a bit of movement from mob being pushed etc

Obviously different melee classes will need different strategies to maximise dps/position and minimize movement

DefaultGem=1 (what ever spell its trying to mem, best mem it in a diff slot or change gem to a diff gem that doesnt get used as much and or you can do without.

as far as the stick goes, in the melee section you can put an entry to specify to use a diff stick option (try stick 10 loose or something like that)

browse the bot wikis to get exact entry to do

I think it's trying to stay behind or with mob but it reduces DPS when he runs past.

/plugin mq2fps unload

Ctrl+O , Display Tab, Bottom right click advanced, move slider for background fps to max. close options. Carry on without bouncing all over the place. Do this for all characters without windows in focus (I'm assuming he's not the window you're looking at when it happens.)

In the section of your characters INI find the entry [Melee] Then find the entry for stickcmd=

if it isn't present before another word in [wordinbrackets] brackets, add the line stickcmd= then try stickcmd=10 uw loose behindonce moveback

That is /stick 10 with underwater (looks up and down) loose (don't have to be perfectly attached in the front/back of monster, behindonce (will try to get behind it one time), moveback(if it is closer than 10 it will moveback to keep it at 10 or so distance, increase distance if you still get a problem with other characters pushing the target into you and you get "cannot see your target" messages.
