How to disable the Welcome Window

Not sure if someone has posted this yet but anyway.

If like me you think Sony should shove off with the new welcome window then there is a fix!

Just go into your Everquest folder and edit your EQClient.ini file. You can either manually scroll down until you find it or do a search but change this line:

DetectWelcomeFailure=0

to

DetectWelcomeFailure=1

It's that simple. You will never again see that annoying window.

this window is hilarious. on zek everyone rolls /anon so that people can't see what zone they're in. now you just add all of your favorite pvp targets to /friends and when you log on, EQ kindly informs you which of them are outside of safe zones!
