help with tweaking MQ2bot

Petesampras tried to help me in another post but I am being dense. I couldn't figure it out. I haven't really programmed since the 80's so sorry about the slowness.

I need help with two things:

1 Can't figure out how to produce the bot log? I tried Mq2bot log but got nothing that I could see.

2 I just want to make sure that my 3 beasts cast Venemous Alliance spell first on each new mob fought and then start casting the other two DoTs: Ekron's Chill & Elkikatar's Endemic. These are all memmed in the 2, 3 & 4 gem spots.

I need to know the exact command text to insert into the ini.

Would really appreciate help with both of the above.

Thanks for assuming that I didn't reread it 7 times. I'm 59 years old and not as tech savvy as I used to be. The last time I did any programming it was in COBOL in the 80s.

I'm sorry but I don't see anywhere in the Wiki as to how to generate a log.

And all I was asking for was for someone to detail the text I need to insert into the ini so that the beasts do the spells in the order I need.

I thought this community was about helping each other.
 
by the way, his issue should be resolved with the logs provided. it turns out alliance series of spells was not detected by mq2bot since those are new i didnt know they existed. its a spell that causes other spells to do massive amounts of damage. those are now added in for all classes that have them whenever htw/fry build the next build.
 
Just to make sure I am not using mq2bot incorrectly, Alliance spells are still not pre-programmed to be automated by mq2bot, correct? My characters don't seem to be using them.

I was away from EQ a while so I am just now trying to use alliance with my mq2bot so I apologize now if this is a dumb question.

It's not. MQ2Bot needs a serious overhaul, so many things do not work.

Rogues do not get into position to backstab. Only pick up the target half the time, and they stutter when trying to move to target.

Mages cast outfated abilities by 5 expansions.

Beastlords get caught in a spell buff loop of Fearless and Natural

Warriors do not use recent discs

Bards Use burn abilities on normal mobs, should be a trigger to use skills only on monsters with a # associated with it. ( all classes really )

Berserkers use discs from level 75, nothing is updated with this class, and there seems to be something preventing decaps with the bot.



It's all a mess sadly.
 
Stuff is being worked on, and has been. If it doesn't do what you want and you don't want to provide configuration and logs (and have some patience as things get modified/fixed/added), then don't use it - find another solution, if any.

Noticed Problems --------------

* Buff loop as explained before with Fearless / Natural
* Does not save memorized set to use, instead constantly loads it's own set. /loadbot not saving
* Does not slow using Sha's
* Will use Roar at the Moon swarm pet before engaging, even if pet range set to 5. Ignores pet aggro range ( Swarm pets only )
98 % of the time, sloppy positioning on mob. Need to manual adjust ( same case for rogue, berserker, bard and tank, tank is not following "NoMeleePush", is still getting pushed around. ) Most of group just does this big circle dance around the mob before finally standing in same spot as tank unless manually adjusted.



This is just tip of the iceberg with one class... Problems on all the other classes too.

Rogue stuttering and not getting into position.
Bard not getting into position, using burns on normal monsters.
Berserker flying around not getting into position, instead stands where the tank is and gets kicked in the face.
Necro only using fast dots and swarm pet. When fighting a named, this is not cutting it. Slow to activate burns, does not use correct burn order. Uses burns on normal mobs.

I am sure there are more problems, these are the ones that stand out to me.
