I pull with my bard, I always leave melody running, even when I pull. When I drop melody to lull, I turn melody back on while incoming, just have my *dps* songs to be sang last in the line-up, by the time im on the 2nd song im usully in range of the group. Once you have broken up your camp, or become more familiar with a new zone its effortless and your partys not missing that much from your songs/aura. Your group might miss out on 400-1k mana a pull from regen song/aura, but in a 30 min lesson burn your usually maintaining your mana to med after LoD for 2 mins. /shrug everyones different.
