First off to the mods, if you don't feel this is the appropriate place for this, please move it. I wasn't sure which section this would best be in.

The time has come. I've had the sales on the devecoder.com disabled for a while now. There are still a couple of people with support periods, but not very many, and those only have a month or two mostly. In the next couple of weeks (target date for this is by June 18th) I will be releasing an update to address some current issues caused by patches and such, at the same time I will be uploading all the bots to a github repository. People will be able to freely access the bots there, and maybe someone with more time than I have to work on them will branch them and make improvements. If there is someone that wants to take over working on them, I will work with that person as I can to help them get started with them. However, I personally do not plan to directly work on any further enhancements to the bots. I'll be straight, there are some parts of the bots that IMO are done well, but there are other parts that need to simply be scrapped and rewritten. As a whole the bots have become bloated, slow, and just a straight up mess. If I did it all over again with the experience I have now I would do quite a few things differently. So if someone does decide to do some work to the bots, they have some work to do to really get them into shape.

The bots will be released under a basic MIT License. Which basically means, people will be able to freely do whatever they want with the code, as long as they give credit of where the original code came from (me). Even though I don't consider the bots to be in a great state right now, I have put a lot of work into them over the years, so if someone does take up working on them I'd still like to be given credit for the original work.

The repository the bots will be released under is here: GitHub - devestator/devbots: All Everquest / MQ2 class bots and other macros written by devestator

For the few people that still have some remaining support period, you will still be able to contact me for support concerns until the end of your support period. You will most likely however need to do so by emailing me at devestatorcoder@gmail.com

I will be taking devecoder.com down within the next 2 months (the web server comes up for renewal at the beginning of July, I will probably only renew it for another month or two at most).

I would like to thank all of my customers over the past 8 years since I started providing services. I will once again apologize for how abysmal my support has been for the past couple of years. I should've made this call to end sales and release the bots when I started getting busy with other things. But, as they say hindsight is 20 / 20, and I can't go back to correct past wrongs.

I will still be around the community occasionally because it is a great community. And I may offer help here and there where it looks to be needed. If you need help with a simple macro or something, you can still message me and if I have time to look into it I will. But, I don't plan to be doing any active development related to EQ any longer. Any larger project requests will need to be handled elsewhere.

I spent a lot of time with your bots. They introduced me to the world of six-boxing. In fact, these last few days, I did a few updated Ini files for my 105 mage and bard. Good luck to you in every way Dev.

Still using a couple that you made me, Dev. Crap, was a long time ago now, but my pet maker mac still works flawlessly, just updated the spells for 101 last night. Cheers and good luck bud :).
