Hence why I started new thread for the PS or general SoE threads... not EQ related doesnt really belong in the All Everquest Servers Down thread.

Of course my disgust with my fellow man will and that opinion of their Reading Comprehension (-50) will likely still result in post in an inappropriate thread.

Reminds me of a test I was given in grade school that told us to read all instructions before continuing the test with the final instruction to ignore all previous instructions other than writing your name on the paper... only myself and one other passed the test. The rest were busy following instructions 2-29 and making general idiots of themselves! Go Go Reading Comprehension!

It's worded for the PSN folks, but I'm sure they will have it for SOE games also. At least I'd hope.

The end of EQ? I'd say more like the end of Sony after some of the articals I have read. The hackers didn't have to try very hard when Sony left the door open. Pure stupidity on Sony's part.

One thing is for certian..... Your subscription will double may even triple when all is said and done.

Subs doubling/tripling in pay? I dont see that happening on the heels of this debacle because nobody would pay it after all of this. If that is what you are assuming there.

They'd be cutting off their nose in spite of their face if they did that.

Agreed. Especially when many pay for multiple accounts.

If my prices go up I want my accounts with my good rooms on it im not paying anymore for playing on a progression server that has min service and tons of bugs that sony doesn't fix and corrected (spells plat exploits ect) for many months I've felt its faster to repeat a quest then send in a petition to get an item that I happened to not get the first time.

Sony is about profit like any business. Why do you think they cut the hell out of there staff? Why do you think things don't work right?

Like I said when this blows over, if it blows over down the road look for large increases. Someone has to pay for all this mess and I can tell you it isn't going to be Sony in the end it will be you and me.

Quick note for folks - I was hit by over a thousand dollars in fraudulent charges in the past 24 hours on the CC I used for EQ accounts. I've never had any problems before.

I know Sony says that only CC's from European subscribers were compromised, but it seems mighty suspicious.

Talked to my stepbrother earlier today. His CC that was used for EQ accounts was hit on Friday with the same WOW/Porn charges.

Other than SOE, we've got Amazon, Newegg, and a few other MMO's in common online vendor-wise. Doesn't conclusively implicate SOE, but it certainly seems like they lost more info than they know.
