Validus Custodus

Does anyone here know a quick way to raise faction with Validus Custodus?

I'm trying to do this quest: AllaKhazam's Magical Realm - Your Everquest Community

First, though, since I started out indifferent to Validus Custodus, I had to kill about 100 Seru guards in Marus Seru. I tried starting the quest as soon as I became amiable to Validus Custodus but my faction wasn't high enough. After killing some more Seru guards I was still amiable but could complete the quest.
