Feeling very depressed as I type this...since I jumped the gun with Newegg, buying a very good 1080p HDTV for my needs. I wanted to have the best of both worlds, HDTV watching plus connecting my PC to watch the 100's of movies on my PC plus playing PC games at 1920 x 1080, sometimes.

Having used PriceGrabber to confirm Newegg was the best price at $899, I ordered it (being delivered tomorrow). Best Buy had it still listed at $1299.

But today, out of curiousity I Googled the model number and got this site. Since China manufactures 85% of the world's HDTV's for everyone like Sharp, JVC, Toshiba and Samsung...the China Electronic Commerce Association operates a website selling them, also.

But...look at the price $580, $700 less than Best Buy and more than $300 less than my beloved Newegg :(

I looked and compared a dozen other models from various manufacturers and these guys destroy everyone's prices...do not fail to check them before buying yourself an HDTV.

You may want to visit other sites for a more detailed description of various models as I noticed they really skimped on some but pricewise, they can't be beat in my opinion.

Before you start ordering PCs or anything from China, I would feel obligated to mention that you probably run a very high likelihood of having backdoors and other security concerns implanted into your computer during construction. If you don't think China does these things, then I'd like some of what you're on. That goes for other stuff too... like routers, etc.

Be careful.

i'm looking for a 52+ inch flat screen HDTV. Any good places besides the 10k best buy wants for the TV, the sound system and the chairs + setup fees?

Sum1...this was about HDTV's, which China already makes 85% of the world market, not PC's.

Ouswald...take a look at this link and search thru it for someone offering what you're looking for.

And if you're looking for what this company offers...the whole package...give them a call to see if they can recommend someone near you, or how you might find a company near where you live.

Funny you said that JJ, remember my wifes sister who i tried to hook you up with back in the day? Well her *son to be husband* brother works at circuit city and he said he only gets a 20% discount being a manager. Yet this is the same fucker who got the 62' Philips for $800 and that was only so the other work would shut his mouth and he wheeled it out the docking doors.

I am gonna check out the woodlandsite and findstuff adds later today so thanks for those links. I refuse to pay an arm and a leg for an entertainment center i will hardly use.

I have a few friends who work at best buy, they do not get a flate rate on discount. I know one of them picked up a 50inc Samsung Plasma(2008 model) for 1800 the day after they hit the sales floor. Retail was 48 or 4900.

Strange how that China website disappeared for a while...it's back up, now. My TV got here yesterday afternoon and I'm taking my digital converter box to Comcast right now to switch to HD and have them activate the HDMI connector on it.

This TV has so many inputs, I could never run out...on the side and bottom for different angles. I'm holding my opinion of the HD viewing until I have something to watch in it...should be soon, when I get off here and head out.

I debated returning it to Newegg and buying one from that China website for $580 but Newegg said 15% restocking, even if unopened on their $899 price plus paying shipping for return and waiting a week for refund. I blew it off.

JJ his set % discount was for his position as manager. Its only useful if he buys it legit. Now if i could get the snake to get me one out off the unloading docks i would be all set. My only probley is i want one with 4 HDMI slots instead of 1 or 2.
