That all really went over my head. I assume they're passing some new things over there that generally isnt liked? :p

The thing about the health care, i thought they were trying to introduce a National Health Service (NHS)?
Like we have in the UK, lots of people have private care if they want more expensive, newer medication or want to be seen quicker etc.
But the majority still use the NHS, because its free! (Free meaning paid for in taxes!)... The standard is lower than that of private care, but still pretty damn good for what it costs.

I never understood the way you guys do it. You could be dying in the waiting room of the hospital, with 5 doctors stood around. But you dont have insurance, your fucked, and the doctors wont touch you. (As far as i understand your system anyways!)

Shhhhh Krugerr, your supposed to pretend like your healthcare is terrible like fox news has been saying for the last year.

shhhhh remember your system is the dumb one, not ours.

Interesting on farther viewing. Eithering very convincing of UFO's or that people are learning how to do special effects and can make more "authentic" looking hoax video.

I don't really want to argue crap like this here, but do want to point out that, no....the scenerio you wrote would be false. I am no expert on any of this, but a little info from a simple google search

http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com/Insurance/KnowYourRights/KnowYourEmergencyRoomRights.aspx

A hospital must provide "stabilizing care" for a patient with an emergency medical condition. The hospital must screen for the emergency and provide the care without inquiring about your ability to pay.

Hospitals cannot transfer patients until their condition has been stabilized. There are a couple of exceptions: if a patient requests to be transferred and is fully informed of the consequences of being moved, or if a physician feels that the medical benefits exceed the risk of the transfer

Casca, yes they will stabilize you. However if you need a new liver and you have no cash, enjoy your last few days.

Which is not the case over there. The waiting list is sorted by urgency and time entered, not by social status like the good ol you ess of aye.

If your teeth are rotting out and you are in immense pain, with no cash, then your screwed. Need those fancy cancer treatments? Toooo baaaad.

But your right, if your in the emergency room dying of cancer, they gladly take you in and watch you die.

Maybe a mod can move all the healthcare stuff to a new, not THREAD OF PURE AWESOME thread. I'll gladly put my two cents in there.
