Okay first part we have down. Once on Xaendar any advice on positioning to help with the AEs.

Okay we had tried using one of the platforms on the side but he kept getting stuck on top of it. Was thinking pillars for next try.

There's a square area... tank tanks on one side in the perfect corner (readerfect), and the healers stand in the corner on the other side of the box-ish thing... thereby allowing them to heal without needing to move. DPS (melee and casters) set an audiotrigger for the big los ae, and run out of los when it goes... then get right back on him.

It's easy, really. Kill the puppets when they spawn asap, or you're dealing with more mobs.
