Problems with /itemnotify

I'm running into trouble with a macro. If I use /ctrlkey /itemnotify to pick up a a single item from a stack, it sometimes runs into this error when it hits the cursor:

Error: Server found no item in slot 254 (->30), Deleting Item!

Picking up the item manually does not cause this error, and I don't seem to have this problem with just using /item notify (but, with the sliders all screwy, this is the only way I can think of to pick up a single item from a stack). Does anybody have a suggestion for a work-around, or know what causes this error?

This error is caused when the client has an item in a slot, which doesn't exist on the server side. There are many different reasons as to why this happens, you are likely moving the items around the client faster than the server can keep up with.
