If you start a new character in Qeynos...I usually use monk, there is a NPC inside a building named Vicus Nomad, gives tax collection quest, and a container for quest items. personally I just get the box with new char and ignore finishing quest, it is 10? slots.
Outside the gates to the left is npc named Tomer instoogle. Tell him, "Follow me to the guild house and master seta" I think it is, and you got a monk pet until you log /die. I ran around killing stuff and he assisted in the newbie area.
