Can someone host up items.txt? Can't get it from 13th Floor, tried searching forums for "linkdb" and "items.txt".

Don't think there is an updated list since VoA expansion. 13th floor you can only search up to VoA I believe, and that would be same thing with the plugin, you'd only be able to search upto VoA or w/e the last date was on the file (2-3 years back).

Unless there is some way to get a dump from lucy or raidloot or you can get 13th floor to update their database to the current expansion. I don't think you are going to find an updated items.txt

Right, I think that I was unclear. I'm currently playing on Ragefire, so an un-updated list would be just fine. 13th floor 404's everytime I try to access it. I currently have no database file for linkdb though, and the one items.txt I was able to find in old compiles is from 2008 and says that it's invalid when I try to load it. Was hoping someone had even an un-updated items.txt that would be compatible with the current MQ2LinkDB.

Here is my current MQ2LinkDb.txt, which has the items.txt imported, and any linked items that's been seen by my clients since the last items.txt I got hold of (1/22/13).

Unless you don't want to do it that way, just grab and use my MQ2LinkDb.txt, but I am attaching items.txt also if you want to do a fresh import.

thanks Htw ,

any update for the items.txt~~

tks

I was curious about this so I downloaded the latest Lucy list. It's not worthwhile for using for the item importer, but it does give a fairly complete list of items in EQ. I need to check if Magelo has one as well.
Anyway, opened it up in Excel as well as the files htw linked above.
His MQLinkDB has 95,287 items in it. Lucy's has 118,913 items in it. Oh and the original items.txt has 93,849. Around 25,000 items difference.

But here is where it gets interesting. Both lists are stored according to ItemID. Taking that into account, the number in the lucy list is actually 109042 of the data, item 132475. Using this I can see exactly where htw started collecting items that were not already on his list, it's line 93850, which matches according to the previous mention of the number of items in the items.txt.

So, what does this mean? Well, I have attached a list of the missing items. However, it's not going to have the information that the plugin needs to generate the link. Basically it needs all the data like what is listed for this page, http://lucy.allakhazam.com/itemraw.html?id=1001, for each and every item that is missing. In short, you are better off using htw's list and then adding everything you can that isn't already there.

The correct syntax to import is:

Code:
/link /import
not /itemdb /import

Reference: MQ2LinkDB - MMOBugs Wiki

Given the above, it still doesn't work for me with the right syntax.

Not really sure why its not working. I tried it myself just now, and it doesn't seem to import the file, and returns as "invalid items.txt file. Aborting"

Maybe the higher ups have some clue.

same here . invalid items.txt file aborting

Probably needs some field corrections. I'll get it taken care of, and post back when I push the update.

In MQ2 VIP Plugin forum, the source post has a note at the top -

<quote>
Updated to have a new format MQ2LinkDB.TXT file. You only need to download from the link and put in your MacroQuest release folder.
</quote>

and then at the start of the source, update info ...

<code>
(02-03-2015)
// updated MQ2Linkdb.txt (use link above) for items existing on 02/01/2015

(10-29-2013)
// 2.2 Updated for CoF release. Linkbot ability is not working
</code>

So ... maybe the build is using the latest ver, which reads imported DB fine, but uses a different import file format, that some of these are older than?

The source post linked MQ2LinkDB.txt has 118475 rows of data in it, and close to the end is Raw Deathseeker's Tunic, which is a TBM item.

BTW, yeah that's old and outdated. I took a quick glance. E.g., it still has link start at 0x33, which at least last time I fixed it, was 0x39.

At any rate, I will verify the link generation / length / etc., and the items.txt field locations, and fix the importer (and link generation if it has changed).

Am working and kind of busy, but will fit it in as soon as I can.

Slight tardiness on my part... but I finally did this. Update via loader (live).

Download items.txt zip file
