Hello, i have an Concern,

would be nice if anyone could help me.

Abut me and my Concerns.

I live in Germany, and cigarettes are extremely expensive here. I can legally import 800 cigarettes per month to Germany from abroad. I have tried to buy cigarettes from various online shops without any success. I've had a read of many forums looking for ideas on how to best buy cigarettes and have come to the conclusion that buying from a private individual and getting them sent to my house is the cheapest way of doing it. Now my question, would anyone be able to help me out by sending cigarettes every month to my house in Germany.

Payment:

I will pay in advance via Paypal.

I'm looking for one of these brands and price per packet we pay in Germany

  • Elixyr (3,50€ = $5.14USD)
  • JPS (John Players Special) (3,60€ = $5.29USD)
  • Marlboro Red (4,00€ = $5.88USD)
  • Marlboro Gold (Light) (4,00€ = $5.88USD)
  • L&M Red (3,80€ = $5.58USD)
  • L&M Blue (3,80€ = $5.58USD)

If someone is interested please send me a PM. Please inform me in advance what the cigarettes cost and what the cost of shipping to Germany would cost. Of course I would pay for your troubles. Thanks.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but...

1. The import limit of 800 Cigarettes is only applicable if they are hand-carried (I believe) from another EU member state. It's essentially a "personal use" provision. I'm pretty sure about the hand-carried part, and I am certain of the EU applicability.

2. If they are imported from a non-EU country, they are subject to a fairly stiff excise tax - which, of course, is one of the things that make them so expensive.

Unless you are limiting your request to fellow citizens of EU member states (where the prices are not much better - for the same reasons), what you're asking for is what's known in common parlance as smuggling. It is illegal. It's possible that having them shipped instead of hand-carried may be classified as such as well.

Now, I have no great love for taxes of any stripe, and I have no problem with avoiding them when possible, but saying it's not illegal is, at best, naive.

I just read that 800 Cigarettes per month are free. I read nothing about the EU. Thought that it does not matter from which country was the cigarettes. I will ask again and then change my thread.

Thank you for the information

I know alot of people still smoke but seems that more and more there are laws banning smoking in public places and even in private businesses.

I dont smoke but I have in the past, and its now kinda odd to see someone smoking even outdoors.

Its not gonna happen immediatly but smoking cigarrettes I think is gonna be looked at like we look at opium houses not that long ago.

In the US, it seems to be headed that way. Even in Nevada the anti-smoking zealots have made inroads - although they will probably never succeed in banning smoking in casinos. However, in much of the world smoking is perfectly acceptable.

I think a smoking ban in casinos is an eventuality, except maybe the super secret indian casinos that seem to be able to do whatever they want.

A smoking ban in Nevada casinos won't happen until a federal smoking ban is enacted and upheld, and that's is not likely to happen in the foreseeable future.

The state of Nevada isn't likely to pass a ban on smoking in casinos as long as casinos wield the power that they do. Even the most recent ban on smoking in restaurants required the casinos' tacit approval to win - and then only because it was written so as not to affect them.

smoke weed, much better ;)

Minus the fact that most the people I know who smoked weed like most smoke cigarettes are basically fried. Yea its better. Makes you stupid but doesn't give you cancer nearly as fast.

cigs and cigars are gross =p. just don't be a wake and bake toker. I actually quit smoking weed long ago but started eating special baked goods :) no lung hazard, yay =D. Costs about 150 to make 1/2 an oz worth of brownies or cornbread or whatever, but, it's a nice full body high, better than smoking, and lasts longer too ! *note, don't try driving under the influence of special baked goods, especially not on your first time after being sober rofl, learned that lesson. It was a scary night*

I wrote a Email to the Duty for private purposes.I asked in the email, how many cigarettes I come from non-EU may introduce Longer and i received this:

Find an american stationed at a german air base. They are tax free there, if you can talk them into doing it would save you a lot of money. I am in texas at a school with a guy stationed in germany. I'll talk to him tomorrow and see what if he's willing to do it.

Its for that reason that many military bases restrict how much booze or cigarettes you can buy. In Korea the guys could make a killing selling alcohol in town, but they don't (heh usually) because one slip up and they're out of a job.

Send em over on a tourist strapped to him like a time bomb :p
