Thanks for the link gives me some thing to watch whilst waiting for Sony to move me to new server!
I saw this when it was originally aired on TV, and I'm a fan of the show.
It's actually kinda insulting to the actors that Lipton forced them to do improv and voices for so long. This was discussed at length on a couple of other forums I read.
The show is (generally) supposed to be about the actors themselves.
Julie Kavner, for instance, refuses to do Marge's voice on camera as herself.
Supposedly a couple of the other cast members were annoyed later that it turned into what it was. Nonetheless, it was amusing, but I've seen them all do the voices on talk shows and whatnot before.
