ROG just standing around

ROG never wants to help. Doesn't autoattack and doesn't engage.

I don't know if he has ever helped, though I want to say yes, but when I tab over to his screen, moveutils is spamming and he isn't attacking. Once I autoattack, he seems to get going.

I have never played a ROG so don't know if it is something from their class that is preventing him from attacking.

This keeps spamming:

ok now to try to be productive

it always comes down to tweaking how they 1st engage

/killthis w starting disc (needing to be ooc and hidden) fucks them if u are killing too fast

I gave up on opening strikes and just use attack on let them sniff the rear of a target and get to stabbing

Rogue bots suck because no one ever really tweaks them to be played like a player.
 
First possible answer: htw just updated mq2melee/moveutils yesterday so if you are using the older copy, do this:
/plugin mq2melee unload
/plugin mq2moveutils unload
/plugin mq2moveutils
/plugin mq2melee

After you DL the new version it should be fine though.

If that isnt it, we can dig deeper, but many people have had the issue you are describing and that was why it was happening.
 
I'm seeing this exact same issue, and it's only happening on my rogue. The other melee classes are working fine so far.
The issue is that it's not turning attack on. The rogue targets the mob and then the MoveUtils spam starts happening. If I manually turn attack on then it sticks to the mob and works just fine until said mob dies. Then on the next mob it goes back to not attacking again. If I manually turn on attack then it sticks just fine again. I'll do some more testing on other toons but that's what I've seen so far on my rogue. Any thoughts on an easy fix? I tried tweaking the MQ2Bot settings in my .ini to assist and/or melee at a different percentage, but changing those didn't make a difference.

edit: I have the melee & moveutils updates installed and rebooted my computer

Ok, i just posted a new .dll on the mq2bot thread that will let you assign either /killthis or /attack on in your ini.

AttackCommand=/killthis

/killthis is default so you can use mq2melee enhancements if mq2melee is loaded, otherwise it will use /attack on

Let's see if that solves the rogue issue.
 
At work so won't have a chance to test out until tonight. Yeah I know moveutils and melee had issues on how they were loaded... my macroquest2.ini has mq2melee at the very end, has been that way for as long as I can remember. I had also manually unloaded and loaded both plugins last night as well.

Nice to see I am not the only one with this issue, haha.
 
Downloaded new MQ2Bot.dll and reloaded mq2moveutils and mq2melee plugins. Same thing.

Since buffing up when /bot on, the ROG hasn't done anything. Everytime I tab over, he is standing there, out of combat.
Did you set the AttackCommand=/attack on in the ini? It worked for the other guy

Still having issues

I've tried everything that Pete has mentioned but the rogue is still standing still....


I'm at my wit's end on what to do.

I have to manually engage the rogue every time if I want to see him kill shit.

I wanted a DPS melee bot. I was almost going to do ranger for all the utilities and thinking a rogue bot probably would be subpar DPS, but my main was a rogue for 9+ years, so kinda like em. Glad I did. With subpar gear overall, a bazaar dagger, low AA's, an INI I haven't really worked on much, this rogue is keeping up with my wizards and destroying the caster mercs on burn/autoassist. The caster mercs and my wizbots assist at 100%, my rogue assist at 98% (so he doesn't go running out too soon) and the rogue still does great. Just completed a TDS progression mission to get into Arx and on the last mob, my rogue was 1,000,000+ dmg ahead of the merc caster and wizbots. That's without using any disc other than a few 30sec refresh ones I threw in there that doesn't really add much to DPS. That mob was probably very resistant to nukes so in other fights, the difference might not be as much, but that is why I wanted a melee DPS bot and not another wizbot.
