Hi,

My current PC is :
Windows XP, ASUS P5N-E SLI Socket 775, Intel Core2 6600 2,4GHz, 2 Gb Ram DDR2 G.Skill PC6400, Asus GeForce 8800 GTS 640Mb, 2x HDD DiamondMax 160Gb, 1x HDD Western Digital Raptor 150 GB and an Asus MW221 (1680x1050).

Can i upgrade it to run 4 to 5 EQs smoothly in Convorteum with 6Gb Ram and Windows 7 ?
Or do i need to buy a new conf ?

I welcome any advice,

Thanks

Im not sure on the limitations of that board. But you should be able to upgrade the ram Nps, and do a complete refresh format and install windows 7-64bit.

With that you should notice a diffrence. Im not overly familiar with the Graphics card you have currently. Or how your system preforms currently.

Can you box 5 but its laggy? You wanting max graphics? etc, give us a little more info on how it currently is :) To box more EQ's though, im under the impression that its more reliant on your Graphics card and memory, than MoBo and Processor. Although they will bottleneck it if they're low quality.

I can box up to 3 EQ, but i am short of RAM (600 to 800Mb per EQ). that is for RAM

I don't use max graphics as i don't care of (but could be nice :p).
In a recent benchmark, my video card gets a score of 73, 8800GTX > 100 and an HD 5770 > 136, GTX 260 > 134.

On my laptop (Win7-64, Core2duo T9400, 4Gb, 9600GT which gets a 73 too), i can run up to 4 EQ with min graphics. But it's a laptop... FPS : 9 to 20 in Conv.

You can run 7-8 on that CPU with 8 gigs ram but it is far from smooth. If you want to run 4-5 smooth get a q6600 or better if that mother board supports it. with the q6600 and 8 gigsr am you should not have an issue running 5.

Without upgrading the GPU ?

If you just go to 8 gigs ram you should be able to run 4-5 without much issue with low settings
