any chance that patcher will detect or block mq?

Even if it did, you dont have to use the new patcher. I still use the original. they stopped posting updates to it, and it is UF skin, but it works just fine.

what i heard was that they were gonna unify the patchers (v 4.0) and supposedly end the use for the other ones (ability to maybe)

why dunno, what will it help or not help dunno, but they seem to think its important and necessary for a purpose that is unclear to me atm

Their post said that everyones patcher will automatically be updated. I'm not sure if there would be a way to block it and use an old one or not.

My patcher is still v1.4

Their patcher does NOT detect MQ2.

It's the same one they use for EQ2, and you can bypass it completely if you so choose via the patchme method.

You can still use wineq which by passes the patcher when you start the game.
