Need IRC help...

I am using a mac that needs this info

/call irc_init <server> <channel> <port>

I believe this is what I need replace the <***> with

/call irc_init irc.lavishsoft.com #SneakyDaddy 6667

This is not working for me, can someone specify a server,channel and port I can try with mIRC first and actually chat with someone. Then I will put the info into the mac to see if I can see that info in the channel.

Hmm think I seen that before but you needed to set the IRC Ini with that information no the /call line. Ill go look around real fast if someone else doesnt beat me to it.

JJ, Yes I posted this on several boards with limited info because this is the source of the mac.

The .ini and .inc files are on that page also.

What IRC client should I be using? Does it matter?

Also tried irc.efnet.info for server and #Nakorox as channel. Seemed to work with mIRC but mac does not communicate after seeming to log in.

It is working now!!! Tried many things but finally loaded /plugin mq2irc and that made it work. Do not know if I really needed to get my own server or not but I guess it is prolly better that I do.
