DoN - Circle of Drakes

There is information available for this, but it is VERY commonly overlooked by guilds capable of destroying it. This is a 24 person raid given by Pericolo L`Morte (evil) and Gordish Frozenheart (good).

When we first started doing this (near DoN release) it was quite difficult. When we started we were mostly Qvic geared, and starting the road to Anguish. We had to have mostly high dps classes and the right tanks. With anguish level equipment it's a joke. Hell, now we have bsts tank, and I (bard) have tanked more times than I can remember.

The key to this is DPS and keep 2+ drakes in camp. ALL STATIC mobs are to be ignored. Simply kill the wandering mobs. Make sure your DPS is assisting, have a shaman (or another slower) pull the drakes that wander towards the center straight to the raid. Set 2-3 pre-established offtanks ready to pick off of the puller. You don't HAVE to pull, but it really makes the event faster.

This is a timed event, drakes wander towards the cluster of stalagmites / stalagtights (up the hill from the ZI.) They come from both front and back of the cluster. Once they drakes are brought to the raid they need killed ASAP. If they linger at the cluster of stalagtights/mites for too long then they will "take their place in the circle." Five of these and you lose.

The loot is AWESOME for the time and energy required. Have all of your Anguish augs? Try these:

Cape of Dragon Scales
Disc of the Dragon Kind (aug)
Necklace of Grimspirit Beads
Ore of the Nest (aug)

This Strat is Perfect if your an uber Anguish Guild with awesome DPS. but what if your Not.. READ below for a nice spoil...

WARNING: THIS EVENT STARTS as SOON AS YOU ZONE IN. so it is important you BUFF up outside and everyone zones in at the same time.

First Part is you need 2 Really good Tanks and 2 Good OTers.
The Raid will Split into To parts Groups 1 -2 Now Called (A) and Groups 3-4 now called (B). Also at this Time ASSIGN a Slower for A and B. Also Important that everyone KNOWS who is MA for Each Group. And make it Clear once the Raid Comes back together that Every DPS is to assist the Group A Main tank..

Have Most of the DPS in Group A This will be the Main group That moves to the Cave like you would if you were doing the drakes nest mission.

Group B will Move over the Bridge... Group B does not have to have both groups 3 and 4 in them Can have Half of that group but enough DPS to kill a few drakes.
Group B will remain at the Top of the Bridge and assist Group B main tank until wave three Dies. At that time everyone will go to the Main group A who should at or inside the Cave.
Warning: it is important that when moving Group B to the Main RAID DO NOT AGGRO any of the static Spawns if you do you will FAIL...

Group A when you zone in Your job is to assist Group A Main tank and move to the Cave Entrance or as far in as you can. IT IS very IMPORATANT everyone Assist the Main Tank in Group A. This also means Kill 2-3 static Spawns that are in the WAY. You Got a Minute or TWO before the FIrst Drake Comes so should be EASY... The OT's are Picking up Drakes as they SPawn.. So if you see it spawn.. one of the OT's Can run down their and tag it.. Bring it to the raid he doesn't have a target.
REASON for this is because if you aggro them early.. where ever you aggroed them from if it happens to go inactive it will run back to that spot and then move to the entrance Giving you more time to reaggro.

Once GROUPS A and B are back together Everyone MUST Assist the RAID MA.. If you did things correctly Everyone is inside the CAVE Burning down each Drake. You will not have to worry about the Spawns from over the Bridge there will only be 4 more and you can still win bye letting them go.

WARNING: IF YOU FOLLOW THIS STRAT YOU WILL LOOSE IF YOU LET ANY DRAKES GET PAST YOU ONCE YOUR IN THE CAVE...

That's a cool way to do it too.

How I described is actually how we did it when we were only Qvic, Tacvi, and pre-anguish geared. It is doable, but sometimes you will fail due to low DPS or a lack of assisting.
