Shroud down to get task then un shroud to do it

I dont know if the is a cheat or exploit but i was in a group lastnight helping with the new years quest and they couldnt get the task cuz i was to high lvl. So i shrouded down they got the task and i took shroud off we still had the task so i was able to help at a higher lvl than the rest of the group. Just though i would post it here maybe its something maybe not.
