So who else here has killed Roley?
We just killed him for the first time ever tonight. Was the biggest damn gimp fest ive ever seen in my life. Dont get me wrong this is a cheating website but I still do value winning raids in a proper way.
We simply just rooted Roley and left him alone by himself while the raid collected the stakes to kill him with. Once 10 stakes where collected we took Roley from 100 to 0 in a mater of 90 seconds? To get the 10 stakes took umm like 1 hour?
Sorry but thats gimp as shit and i hope thats not how the raid is ment to be done. Any raid mob thats rootable and doesnt summon is weak.

The AE is really nasty
The way the root works is you first need to loot 1 stake. Then the guild dps's roley down to 90ish percent. Whoever has the stake zap him with it. Now let him regen back up to full. After he gets to 97 percent he will no longer summon anyone and now he just stands there stupid and rooted. Gather up your other stakes and when gtg kill him.
I dont know much about the gathering of the stakes themself perhaps someone who reads this and gets stakes can help. We did this 2 days ago things where just fine with the event.
We seem to be having an issue with the chest/coffin not respawning to collect the stakes anyone have any ideas?

DPS Roley to 94%, switch DPS to adrianna. DPS adrianna till she stops.. get port groups to say their thing to her, and then collect stake.
once stake collected, prone roley, then stake him. DPS him to 84% then dps wife in same way.
do this all the way to 0 and you will be fine. be warned, proning roley when not ready to stake him will cause him to CH.
and always remember.. there is no such thing a "fast" roley

The problem we had was that some of the time we had two chests spawning on top of each other. Once we figured that out the event went down without any issues.

Prepping to do this encounter for the first time this week.
Is this an accurate summary of this thread:

Ok we tried OTM to set up in lab and a shadowmane aggroed an sk, got charmed and well trained the raid. We managed to camp a cleric and than drag and rez in Lab. My question is where is the most ideal set up place. We had been thinking if hatchet was last teir 1 to drop and we do roley first Lab is ideal spot. We however had sisters as last event than OTmed to the roley event.
So basically I also am wondering if that letting him regen to 97% thing roots him still or he is only rooted during prone?

Yes letting him regen to 97% after stake once (or no stake? not sure we always stake him once) still roots him.
So I have a question, when we go down we are getting hit with AE almost right away. Anyone offer some advice to group setup for the stake teams.

there is not really a setup for this groups ... just get enough offtanks and 1 or 2 chanters down a bard ... rogue thats all... even if u dont have a class with you that need to loot the weapon... just run him down to loot... well if u are smart u always clear the way )

We just send a sk to pull the 4 mobs that poped and 2 paladins 10sec after, they can open chests and self cure easily. The only thing is to have a tracker check if it is in the laboratory so the puller goes in with harmshield on.
Once the stakes are found we send someone to loot it (fders first because they can always loot chest )

You can actually set raid up in the library and since roley and Andrriana are leashed just keep a pally on aggro at doorway and work on either one you need. while we collected stakes our pally just kept leashing roley making him a non factor . Also if you need to you can rez and reset in library.
Very Easy and Concise way to do Roley.
Make sure it is clear to south sister basement.
Kill dancers (hardest part of event).
Engage the 2. Take Adrianna to 95%. Get first stake (description later). Take roley to 90%. When he "Fd (prone)" stake him. Then leave him there and let tank keep backing away till Roley cannot summon. A good spot is NW corner of ball room. Each time you engage Adrianna have to take her down 5% more than last. Collect 8 more stakes and then attack till flops stake and then win.
Easy way to get stakes.
Lab : Have raid rush in kill the zombie and mez the spiders, have a pal/sk/ber loot the ones from here. Spiders depop when Adrianna repops.
Library: Wait for adds to depop and then send in 1 melee to go kill all 3 chests. We corner adriana in NW corner and this is far away to mostly not get AE. Then cure AE off 1 melee and have the bard/ranger/war go loot the stakes from here.
Basement: Wait till mobs depop and do same as library. Monk/BL loot here.
At no time do you have to port when Adrianna offers, you can run to all 3 spots. This pretty much trivial event.

Are those names only usable with MQ2 running, or will they work for anyone?
And also, a question was asked about how to disarm the chests/coffins because a rogue wasn't able to. Can anyone give more insight about that?
