Can you guys post where you've seen spells drop and off which mob type? It seems not every mob drops spells. Most mobs that drop quest pieces do not drop spells. I will post what I've killed thats dropped rank 2 spells.

Mammoths in icefall, especially the elder higer level cons

Ratkins and Ratcallers in Direwind

Gnolls in The Steppes

Darkroots in Direwind

A red drake in Ashengate dropped a RK II 74 spell

Pyre Lord Narseekin <Raid> dropped a lvl 71 Rk III spell.
