patching test using station launcher

when patching test using station launcher i presume that it still patches the same as the old everquest patcherand overrides the live server. so that yyou have to repatch everytime you want to play. i use to get around that by making another eq dir for test. but with using station launcher is there a way to just redirect where it applies the test files. or would i have to make a copy of my station launcher dir and have a seperate one for test? secondly where would i find the path that it is copying the files to if creating a second launcher so that i can change them?
