Old spell effects

Anyone know if its possible to use the original spell effect graphics?

Delete spellsnew.eff and spellsnew.edd from your install dir. Remember to re-delete them after each patch.

This gets you to pre-velious spell effects, which were amazing but on big raids were just a bit too nutty.

On vanilla and kunark era planes raids... holy shit things were out of control with no way to turn them off IIRC, but I loved the chaos, like a hate break needed any more!!

Unfortunately sometime in the last few years, they changed the shape of the spell effects, so they are no longer completely original.

e: It looks like the ones in that YT video are post velious, low poly count.
