Mini-login trouble...

Im trying to setup a mini login so me and some friends can play over a LAN. I was having problems seeing a "server" but I could see a client everytime I loaded the mini-login.

Well I now have the server I just cant see it when I load to the Server select screen. And Yes this is the host machine and no I havent tried login on from another machine yet.

Any thoughts?

You have set all addresses/ip's to the server's information?

Is your eqhost file set correctly?

As far as I know yes. I have configured the IP's and the eqhost file exactly to what the walk through showed. Only thing i changed which i doubt is the problem is the world chat channel.

Using a router? and if so, have port forwarding set up?

Hmm... not sure on that one will check when i get home and reply. Would that effect my host computer from being able to connect to itself tho? Sorry for the newbish questions Im new to this whole thing.

It could, if the host computer is trying to access the IP through a certain port, and the router is not forwarding that port to the correct subnet ip address...
