That code isn't working, Pete. Posted as you did, it just does nothing. I tried removing some of the checks and I get errors.

2 things.

1. The macro on the first page is not what THD is talking about. He is still writing it and will be passing it to the beta members.

2. You need to PM him to be in the beta.

So, it's a bit of a waste of your time to test the one on the 1st page. PM him if you want to beta test. I am sure he'd be happy for the assistance.

I have scrapped the project fo magepet.mac to handle all pets from level 81 to 100, and instead just fine tuned the code for magepet.mac to check that it gives the correct items (no chance of accidentally giving an item you may have on your cursor while running it).

Also .. i have added enabling of ghold, taunt, follow. In addition there are two parameters you can change from TRUE or FALSE.

First is doDiminutive : This sets the macro to either cast your Diminutive Companion (shrink pet in 1 cast) AA or not.

Second is doAegis : This sets the macro to either cast your Aegis of Kildrukaun AA & atack it with your spell aegis (Aegis of Nefori etc.) or not.

Note: In both cases, you must have the AA purchased and have created a hotkey for them already, if you enable them with TRUE.

Added some syntax checking for param0, param1, param2... and added help parameter.

Using: /macro magepet help will display the syntax help.

im always torn about the gearing a pet w anything past weapons since there are people that swear that they come w everything a mage can put on them except for the weapons.

If I remember correctly they already come geared, but with a lower level of gear than a mage can summon. So a mage pet has armor already, but if you summon your best armor and put it on it will be an upgrade.

Trying to find the post - was quite awhile ago, and think it was on the mage boards that poofed - but that is my understanding.

First post talks about it, but the thread is worth a read for any Mages.

So over on the necromancer boards the question about pets and gear came up. It makes sense (to me at least) to see what's viable for our pets when it comes to level in relation to EM focus and what gear would be beneficial. Granted purchasing gear for a pet would be different for each server due to economy and prices but having some starting basic info would be nice IMO.

If I remember right pets will ignore recommended levels but do follow the required level restrictions on gear. They also replace gear based on AC.

Here's what our pets come with when summoned with any pet focus:
Helm: AC49, HP95
Arms: AC56, HP80
Hands: AC49, HP101
Boots: AC56, HP88
Breastplate:AC97, HP132, Avoidance 16
Pants: AC70, HP125, Shielding 4%
Belt: AC49, HP2400
Necklace: AC37, HP330
Shoulder: AC42, HP330
Finger: AC42, HP330
Wrist: AC43, HP80
Ear: AC37, HP330

AC627, HP4091 This doesn't include the visor because frankly I don't see us giving that up for anything in the bazaar. I guess the same could be said about the belt. Taking the belt out of the equation would give us AC578, HP1691.

Tested new pet maker with level 100 mage but having major issues with equipping pet for some reason. (Tested pet with old version that I updated for new spells and didnt have any issues)

3 out of 25 total tests summoned and equipped the pet correctly, the majority of the time, the macro would summon, but not click, or summon but not give the first item which would mean that items stuck on cursor stuffed the rest of the macro. [Invalid item slot 'null'] Being the most common error,
Posted a section of the tests. Not sure why there is such an issue with clicking the summoned items as sometimes they work, but if the first summoned item works, usually another one stuffs up.

I've tested it without issue many times. I did have that issue when the incorrect weapon spell/weapon name was configured in the declares. And also had the issue when the moveback and face pet functions took too long for the delay I placed in. Make sure you're using the configured pet weapon spell and that you aren't lagging due to a crowded zone. Let me know please. If anyone else having issues with my posted lvl 100 version, please post.

Update: 01-07-2014.
Re-worked some coding to make sure that /autoinventory and /destroy commands properly take care of the correct and intended cursor items. Also made a slight change to the movement at pet creation time, this should resolve the initial messup with trying to summon items before you are finished moving away and facing the pet.
