MacroQuest2 is out of date due to the latest EverQuest patch

I get an error message about MacroQuest being out of date and it doesn't work.

MacroQuest needs to be updated after every patch before it will work again.

When will MacroQuest be working again?

Once the developers have updated MacroQuest and verified that it is working properly, it will be made available.

How long does it take for MacroQuest to be updated?

The short answer is usually a few hours, maybe a day.

A lot of factors go into calculating the time it will take for MacroQuest to be updated. The number of changes to the EverQuest client determines the amount of work that needs to be done. Usually it takes several hours for MacroQuest to be updated and running again. Sometimes small patches can be updated in less than an hour. Larger patches due to new expansions coming out or getting near the release date may take several hours to a few days to update.

How will I know when MacroQuest has been updated?

We display a nice status on the homepage that links to the latest and greats MMOBugs compile once it has been made available.

If you are using the MMOLoader to update, you will receive a message when MacroQuest has been updated and you will be given the option to download the latest updates. You can also right click on the MMOLoader icon in the taskbar and select Check for Updates.

MMOLoader says it is in Demo Mode and I am a premium or lifetime member.

No need to worry, the MMOLoader login server is disabled until MacroQuest has been updated. When the MMOLoader login server is unavailable for a period of time MMOLoader goes into demo mode. Once MacroQuest has been updated the login server will be brought back up and you will be able to download the latest update.
