I've seen figures of Ryzen having 93% of Kaby Lakes single threaded performance, which is great, but the 1700 can only be OCed to 3.9-4ghz from what I've seen and a 7700k can hit 5.2ghz. I'd rather have the extra Ryzen cores even with the lower clock speed. Personally I plan to build a new AMD...

For 100$ more you can get a Ryzen 1700 with double the cores and hyperthreading to boot. Seems like it would be beastmode for multiboxing.
