This happens to a lot of people. This isnt something wrong with your video card. To me, its like the newest form of the "west bug" but its a lot less annoying.

Try turning the memory usage up or down in game until it stops.

This happens to me also, but it only happens if i stay logged into EQ for 3-5 days at a time without rebooting my system. Once I reboot, it stops.

Keep in mind when it happens to me, its not constant. It only happens when I zone and when the zones textures are loading and once loaded, its fine.

Ok thats nice i think this has been doing it since they made it free to play blah blah... and it does it every time i play ill try and play with the settings then thank you

If it makes you feel any better, I have the same problem. 1GB 256bit 4850 here.

It started happening to me after FTP as well. This is with memory mode on "least memory usage" and "minimum" texture quality. Also all of the "check-box" options off under advanced options.

Also, same with Copperhead...only happens after zoning.

It has always done that to me for quite a while now, unless I put the EQ video memory management on 'max', instead of balanced or some other theme.

well i set mine to max and it stopped but now everything is choppy and sluggish but i have noticed i zone allot faster!!

This generally only happens to me when I've had my PC on for too long without rebooting. I'm running an ATI HD4650 1GB. Once I reboot it, it's fine.

Yeah, same thing for me.

Yeah, that does nothing for me. And that's after going through several different video cards, and a PC rebuild.

Good to have options though.

I had this same problem on my last card gtx 460, so I thought maybe my system was just starting to get outdated. I built a new system with dual 680 gtx vid cards and still have the same issue, need to find the usage setting!!

In game, Alt-O for options, Display tab, Advanced button, Memory Mode.

Video Issues

I own a gaming machine that is liquid cooled for CPU and Video Cards. I am running dual Radeon 6970's in Crossfire mode and I still see exactly what you are seeing...so I doubt it is your Videocard. I have noticed that it is worse when the server is heavily populated and I am sure it has something to do with slow servers and not drawing things as fast as it should. I messed with every setting that I could find to tweak and it mattered not.

Good Luck to you and if you figure out a solution....please post.

Also remember, if you change the video memory mode in EQ, you have to camp all the way out to desktop and restart EQ, or it doesn't actually take effect. If it looks like it does, e.g. when you zone, it's just luck - i.e., fooling you.
