Pretty easy event. Just watch out for that Doom comet.

For those that did not get it. Here is what was on the Beta forums about the event.

Expected Challenge: 9 groups (54 players) of level 100 in a mix of Tier 1 and 2 CoTF raid armor and gear.

Event Overview

You have gathered all the relics needed to perform the ritual that will send Lady Lendiniara back to her world. The dragon and Lanys T`Vyl have joined Zebuxoruk in the Void and have setup the relics. Meanwhile, though, Ethernere has grown stronger, and it has started seeping into the Void. You must push back the Ethernere incursion and allow the ritual to be completed.
But can Zebuxoruk maintain his sanity under the influence of Ethernere? And can Lanys be trusted with such powerful relics? If either of them stray from their duties, Norrath will be lost.

Event Details

Stage 1

Ethernere rifts have appeared on the islands in the Void. The rifts must be closed. Gathering three or more players on an island near a relic will cause the ethernere creatures to start spawning from all rifts.

Rifts start at 100 "health"
Defeating Ethernere creatures that emerge from the rifts will drop the health of the rifts. The rifts close when they reach 0 health.
Near each rift a relic has been placed: Qeynos Claymore, Selo's Drum, Scroll of G`han, and Ro's Flame
The relics can be clicked to debuff NPCs on those islands. Only one relic can be clicked at a time, and there is a shared 45 second cooldown.


Qeynos Claymore Rift:
Grundehl spawns

Abilities:

Outlast - Damage mitigation against DoTs

Repel - Damage mitigation against melee

Withstand - Damage mitigation against spells

He chooses the above abilities randomly. He has AE rampage.

Clicking on the Qeynos Claymore will destroy Grundehl's defensive buffs and prevent him from using them for 45 seconds.

Killing Grundehl sets the rift's health to 0 and closes it.


Selo's Drum Rift:
Skirth rippers spawn

Abilities:

Scent of Blood - They choose a random player on their island and attack them regardless of aggro. They will adjust their damage output based on the class of the player they're attacking.

Claw - Short-range frontal cone DD

Using Selo's Drum removes the Scent of Blood from the rippers and prevents them from using it again for 45 seconds.

Killing a ripper drops the rift's health by 4.


Scroll of G`han Rift:
Borleoth spawns

Abilities:

Greater Heal - Heals 22% of HP

Lesser Heal - Heals 10% of HP

Subversive Healing - Reduces your incoming healing by 30%

Defiling Discharge - AE DoT


Every 15 seconds, Borleoth checks the difference between his current HP percentage and the previous percentage. If it's greater than 17, he casts Greater Heal. If it's greater than 12, he casts Lesser Heal.
i.e he must be DPSd down slowly not burned. Cannot do more than 12% of his HPs in damage every 15 seconds (go with 20 to be safe)

Using the Scroll of G`han prevents Borleoth from casting Greater Heal or Subversive Healing for 45 seconds.

Killing Borleoth drops the rift's health to 0 and closes it.


Ro's Flame Rift:
gehein soulcrushers spawn

Abilities:

Mirrored Skin - Reflects spell and melee damage

Using Ro's Flame will remove Mirrored Skin from the soulcrushers and prevent them from using it for 45 seconds.

Killing a soulcrusher drops the rift's health by 4.



Stage 2

This stage begins concurrently with Stage 1. After the rifts are activated, 45 seconds later Zebuxoruk is driven mad by the influx of Ethernere, and he attacks you.

Zeb's Abilities:

Cyclonic Sickle - AE damage

Chain Drag - Flings you to Zebuxoruk and roots you. Below 70% HP, Zeb will begin casting this on increasing numbers of people before casting Cyclonic Sickle.

Wasting - DoT damage on caster classes.

Banishment of the Void - Pushes you away from Zeb. Don't fall off the island! He will cast this on caster classes when below 30% HP.

Forsaken Ravings - Dooms an AE charm. Stay away from the person that has the effect! Zeb casts this on melee/hybrid classes when below 30% HP.

Etheric Revitalization - Large heal. Cast if Zeb's HP is below 70% and Borleoth is alive.

Etheric Defense - Shielding from spells, DoTs, and melee. Cast if Zeb's HP is below 70% and Grundehl is alive.

Zeb's HP is locked at 9% until Borleoth and Grundehl are killed.



Stage 3

This stage can beging concurrently with Stage 1 and 2. If Zeb has gone crazy and either Grundehl or Borleoth have been killed, Lanys attacks you.

Lanys has several conditions for how her HP locks:

If Lanys has not retrieved the relics on the four smaller islands, her HP is locked at 80%

If Zebuxoruk has not gone combatable and been defeated, her HP is locked at 70%

If Deathmaster Sarenth hasn't spawned and been defeated, her HP is locked at 50%

Otherwise, her HP is locked at 1%

Lanys has different attack patterns based on what is happening in the raid:

If a rift has been closed:

Lanys runs to the rift, grabs the associated relic, kneels down, and casts:

Voidcast Explosion - AE knockback

Lanys then remains on the island until her HP has been dropped by 5%.

Abilities:

Qeynos Technique - AE damage, DoT, speed and spell/melee defense reduction. Used when on the island with the Qeynos Claymore.

Ro's Flaming Swath - Small cone fire DoT. Dooms an AE explosion from self. Used when on the island with Ro's Flame.

Selo's Frenzy - Charm. Used when on the island with Selo's Drum.

Silence of G`han - Silence and forgetfulness. Used when on the island with the scroll of G`han.

Swordplay Technique I-IV - A quick series of physical attacks combining short-range beams, cones, and AEs.

Voidcast - Single-target knockback. Will cast this if HP < 87%

If Zebuxoruk is attackable:

Lanys will remain on the large island unless claiming one of the relics.

Abilities:

Lifescourge - Beam that reduces max HP by 35%. Targets Zeb's main tank. Must have line of sight.

Swordplay Technique I-V - A quick series of physical attacks combining short-range beams, cones, and AEs.




Stage 4
When Lanys' HP falls below 79% and Zeb has been subdued, she summons the undead Deathmaster Sarenth and alters her ability set:

Lanys' Abilities:

Swordplay Technique I-V - A quick series of physical attacks combining short-range beams, cones, and AEs. Before using these spells, she checks to see if any players have the spell Undefended on them (this is cast by Sarenth). If they do, she flings them to her and then casts her series of spells.

Fires of Hatred - Targeted area rain. Lanys spawns a targeting aura on players, indicating where she will cast this spell. She uses this spell if her HP is less than 78%.

Lifesap - HP siphon beam. Below 68% HP, Lanys will cast this on Sarenth, hitting entities in the way of the beam. This spell must have line of sight.

Sarenth

Abilities:

Scythe Slash - Frontal cone DD

Lifebleed - DoT that dooms a heal on Lanys. He casts this if his HP percentage is above 50%. Cast on random players within 100 units distance of Sarenth.

Lifebleed II - Same as Lifebleed, except it's a frontal cone. Casts if below 50% HP.

Etherfall - Targeted area rain. Casts if HP below 50%. Cast on random players within 175 units distance of Sarenth.

Undefended - Focuses damage inflicted by Lanys' sword techniques by 40%. Cast on random players within 100 units distance of Sarenth, excluding most hated.



Stage 5
After Sarenth is killed, Lanys' HP is fully unlocked, and she uses her final set of abilities:

Abilities:

Relic casts - She chooses a random relic ability to cast (Qeynos Technique, Ro's Flaming Swath, Selo's Frenzy, or Silence of G`han).

Lifesap - HP siphon beam. Cast on Lanys' adds when they arrive. Must have line of sight.

Lifescourge - Beam that reduces max HP by 35%. Targets random person (not main tank) within 175 units distance. Must have line of sight.

Fires of Hatred - Targeted area rain. Lanys spawns a targeting aura on players, indicating where she will cast this spell. She uses this spell if her HP is less than 14%.

Sword Techniques - Cast if below 14% HP.

Doomsday Comet - Welcome to your doom!

Below 35%, Lanys continually spawns Doomscale ritualist adds:

Abilities:

Ritual Blood - Targeted area. Cast on random player within 60 units distance.

Below 20%, Lanys continually spawns Doomscale slaughterer adds:

Abilities:

Deep Cut - DD

Achievements

No Help From My Friends - Don't let Grundehl or Borleoth cast their spells on Zebuxoruk
Relegating the Relics - Don't click any of the relics.
Island Survivor - Don't let any players fall to their death
 
Fairly easy event once you get the mechanics down. Doing the 2 islands where you have to kill 25 mobs one at a time vice at the same time makes it even simpler.

The 2 islands with a single mob are pretty trivial.

Sarenth is easy. The adds from Lanys die very fast.

Getting the achievement for not using the relics should not be that hard.

Getting the achievement for not letting buffs hit Zeb seems almost a given.

Getting the achievement for nobody falling off seems to be the toughest one lol.
 
Do you break the raid up onto separate islands? Or move from 1 island to another as a raid?
 
any tips on healing thru Lanys or how u guys play her? she hits like a damn truck and only 18 people on island at a time. and do you all just burn Zeb down?
 
Can only put 18 on the side islands.

Ro's Flame Rift: Tank group and casters works well.
Selos Drum Rift: Tank group and mellee works well.

Last 2 islands tank group plus mix of mellee and casters works well since you really want to kill them at the same time.


Send one group over to offtank her when she runs NE. If you balance down the 2 named then she will not be active till they are dead and you have those tanks freed up to deal with her. Then burn down Zeb.

If you move Lanys to the right spot on each island the healers and casters and rangers can all DPS from the main island allowing you to get 18 tanks/mellee on the island.

We did not find her to be that bad. The one island where she charms the tanks is the hardest simply because all have to be ready for tank changes.

Watch for
Lanys T`Vyl shouts 'This island shall be your grave, lost forever in the sea of the Void!'

her adds at the end.. i know they have like 0 hp...but did you all stun/ mez them? she spouted off quite a number of them there at the end on our last attempt
 
AE DPS will take them out pretty quick if they all get rounded up near her. Faster you get her down less add waves to deal with. But yeah they can be a pain when coming back from the islands if to many are up. Send a warrior back first with their disc to take no damage to round everything up. DA does not work as well as the mobs can ignore you.
 
adds are timed and spawn out of the 4 island portals and the 5th 1 shown in normal zone but missing in the raid. Clump up 100 range from lanny let adds come in and mow em down. The worst part is the final phase of lanny. When she hits 10% all need to find a portal and get off the main island. At 5% same drill watch for the fireball comet to land soon as it goes away you can port back on and continue with her. 18 for each add island, 1 tank grp for the minis and 1 for main island zeb.

Very important to have no adds up when she emotes. The adds will keep summoning people back to the main island.

Had something strange the other night where right as she died there was an AE for 169K. We had a lot of adds up at that moment (slacking on AE DPS) so that could have affected it. But nice to be looking down from hover on a pile of bodies next to a chest with out loot lol.

Wiping after the win gave us all a good laugh. Especially since the adds poofed in a few seconds so we could rez in and get out goodies.
 
any 1 got any more tips for this? PM me if you like, seem to be struggling on the last phase, basically the 10% and below, we just cant seem to finish it off at all. everything is dead bar lanys and a few adds, but it always seems to go to pot!

does the dragon do anything?

i feel like were missing a trick here or something :/
 
10% port off the main island wait for Fireball to land on her its visable with certain filters on. Soon as it lands port back get the tank back on her work her to 5 if adds pop get them dead first before she hits 5. At 5% port back off the main island same drill wait for fireball then port back after it lands and finish her off and any adds. remember 18 max per island so scatter back to the 4 islands and don't get over the 18 man cap limit. You will know when to port off as she drops from extended target hate list.
 
Other thing that can get you especially porting back if all are running around a bit. She does a frontal AE. Emote you get is You begin to burn.

She casts the below. If not cured your looking at 160K nuke for each person that did not cure.
