it has been a long time since I used it but /mac skillcast is not working for me. it casts once but no longer puts it into inventory and casts again.
My macro that worked for years is
/mac skillcast 1
/keep

what I do instead is MQtwist
any class can use the plugin that has spell gems
then load gem 1 2 3 4 (with what ever low lvl skill u need to raise) as an example
/twist 1 2 3 4 (will do those 4 gems over and over)

Try using this spell_routines.inc, I saw there are some things not right in the one in release. I made some changes, if it's good, I'll push it to ours.

where should I put it and does it work as a mac i don't what c\kind of file inc is sorry sir I am an antique

It's an "include" file, just put it in your Macros directory (same place you put the skillcast.mac).
