I'm an old (fat and ugly probably too, but not so much of a Douchebag as the Captain, I hope:) Everquest player and have had many fun hours using MQ2 over the years.

I just cannot for the life of me find a decent MMRPG to play nowadays! So I'm up for trying EQ again, but could do with a little advice please.

Right now I would prefer to just run 2 accounts, free t play initially, just to check that EQ is still the fun and challenging environment I used to appreciate. I'm starting from ground zero!

Initially I've started a Druid as I love them for PLing and was thinking of duel boxing with an SK initially to get me off to a start. That also has the benefit that I can use them for PLing Alts.

In the past my box team was Bard, Mage and Shammy (with merc Tank/Healer/DPS swaps as necessary.) I like trying new classes, so being able to PL and having a core group is ideal. In my early EQ years I played on Drinal, but as a UK player looks like Antonius Bayle maybe the preferred server to find EU players/friends.

My first question right now is; Is MQ2 a great/solid option for boxing 2 toons (SK/Dru) to get them levelled, relearn the game/mechanics etc. Or jump one toon to 85, use that to PL the second and start group from there?

I don't have/want to throw cash at this project. Just looking to have some fun. Would actually like to find people to play/talk with and enjoy an MMO again. Burned out in EVE Online. WOW just does not do it for me at all these days (dumbed down too much).

Please feel free to post or DM...and thank you, you guys have always been friendly and supportive...hugs.

Initially, I've started a Druid as I love them for PLing and was thinking of dual boxing with an SK initially to get me off to a start. That also has the benefit that I can use them for PLing Alts.

a. Relearn toons manually once mastered what they can do
b. Use MQ2bot https://www.mmobugs.com/wiki/index.php/MQ2Bot

a. depending on the server you find, make friends within the guild to have people to talk to or group with on a regular basis
