Question on progression

My husband has decided not to come back but I am determined to level a toon on Progression. Yes I realize it is dead, that is why I like it so much

So my question is this: What duo (me and merc) will allow me to level the fastest and get to 70 so I can do some raiding? Or, is it best for me just to solo?

I'd say probably a zerker, with tank merc for a while then swap to cleric merc when you can take hits

Last night I logged into Vulak and there were Merc vendors outside of GH.

Do they not sell Mercs? I will check tonight.

mage (coh and dps)
wizard (porter + teleport bind)
enchanter (dps+ mana regen)
sk (puller+ tank)

If you only have a choice of 2 for leveling, then stick with necro and mage combo.

the merchants are there but they dont pop up the option to buy mercs.

No mercs are on fippy or vulak

fippy is far from dead, there is like 5+ active raiding guilds.

Vulak is dead however.

Choose a class you like

Instead of asking what class is best to level up, ask yourself what class you actually want to play in a raid. The leveling up process is a tiny portion of the the time you'll invest if you're serious about raiding. Fippy has a larger server population, that's for certain. Vulak is dead only if you're not part of the one or two raiding guilds.
