My 11 year old wants to play everquest with me. I do not want to start from the beginning. Any recommendation on what level I should start him at? Also what class would you think would be easiest to learn?

Even a EQ veteran with a Heroic character is lost with all the skills/aa's. For a newbie you really need to start at the beginning to understand the the class. Leveling is pretty quick.

You need a class that pairs well with yours. It's a tough question to answer. Mischief is pretty fun to level on as you have people to group with. No MacroQuest sucks though.

Just for some insight, I've had friends who had young children that learned to play together a decade ago as a warrior and cleric. The boy played the warrior, presumably because sitting and medding wasn't interesting enough, and pulled and tanked. The girl played the cleric, it was more her pace, I think she was only seven or eight years old, and from what I remember did a damn good job.
