Name issue

When I load up mq2 it changes my names to a $ why is this happening?

What version of MQ2 and EQ client are you using?
What server are you playing on?

If I was to take a stab, I'd more than likely say it's an issue with MacroQuest.ini to do with captions. It's not a problem I've heard before though.

Have you tried a fresh download or reverting MacroQuest.ini back to default?

Did a fresh DL like you said seems fine now. No idea what happened.
