I know that mq2 will not function on a truebox server but I'd like to know if it is even possible to use 2 clients on the same pc? I know it is against the rules but is it detectable? It is not possible for me to play on 2 pc's because I am a truck driver and having 2 laptops on the truck is just not viable for me.

Of course I mean for a truebox server. Specifically Mischief.

For truebox, two client on the same PC is only possible if you use VMs (which are doable but also detectable). My pet giraffe was able to use VMs successfully for awhile (wasn't doing anything shady on truebox servers, just lazy) and never had an issue. Rumor has it you will only have a problem if you are doing things to attract attention or piss others off.

I'll see if he still has his notes laying around.

Funny enough my giraffe has toons running inside a vm using vitualbox with no additional tweaks needed to get it working.

Relatedly, if you try to switch to fullscreen eq, then eq will crash out.

Also, edit eqclient.ini and add/change the following items to false like this:

VertexShaders=FALSE
20PixelShaders=FALSE
14PixelShaders=FALSE
1xPixelShaders=FALSE
