Maybe not really, but my wife logged into her Gmail account on my computer and I didn't realize it. This morning, she woke up and her table had all these advertisements coming to her for Everquest, etc., from my search history.

All I can say is I'm glad she logged in on an Everquest day and not a porn day.

/plugin Mq2hideporn will sign you out of any page and will not let the browser save any pw or cookies, and will delete history by the hour.

Most browsers these days have that "private browsing" feature... That's for porn!

Most of us are too lazy to use it though. Smartphones are for porn these days, portable porn!

And if you use an Android phone, and happen to use your regular Gmail instead of a throwaway - the porn ads will still be there to greet you whenever you use that same google account on a PC.

Google is a really useful psycho-stalker, who is always there, ready and willing to help sell you shit. Especially Russian mail-order brides and drugs.

Firefox with ABP, NoScript, and a tight cookie policy is where it's at. Torbrowser wouldn't hurt, either.

A lot of good advice; honestly, my wife would probably understand a little porn search now and then, but Jesus! I really don't want her getting my "web searches" ported over to her tablet anyway. I used private tabs, a VPN, I clean my cache regularly, but I'm not perfect and it never occurred to me that she would log on to her GMail account on my computer and not log out. Live and learn.

Now the time my wife went to my office and found a package of women's underwear in my trash can, that required some explanation, because I had no idea WTF she was talking about initially. There was an explanation and it had nothing to do with me.

Oh man you have GOT to explain this one.

Couldn't agree more.

Bit off topic, but in the same neighborhood:
I run a do-it-all computer store (physical repairs, virus removals, networking, data recovery...yadda yadda) and 99% of the people that come in with problems could have all been avoided by using FF, ABP, NoScript and a decent, lightweight Antivirus...

Especially with things like cryptowall out there wrecking peoples' shit.

Will also name a band: Tight Cookie Policy

so google chrome using incognito no good?!

incognito is fine as long as you remember to use it.

edit: As long as you don't log into your google account while in that mode!

Just find a porn actress that has a resemblance to the wife/girlfriend and only watch her, then if you're caught you can say she reminds you of her and problem solved.
