they dont cast at all, and if i tell them to cast, sometimes they start, but then next mob, nothin, just sitting there trying to buff itslef, not targeting mob oranything.

i have not edited any ini, just typed /bot on.

i think it is because they are not in the group as my tank or my other melle guys. They are in a 2nd group with just 2 casters and healer mercs.

i think if i had a tank merc, or a mage, or a kissassist toon in the group it wouldnt b a problem because it would start the attack,, butt... . is there a way to get them to assist another group the way very vanilla does?

Rightnow, if i cast one spell with one caster, the other one goes to work too and keeps it up till the mob dies, and then just goes back to dead in water, self buffing till i initiate another attack.

I believe you are looking for this for out of group assist, make sure one char in the second group has this and set them as group MA in group roles and others in group should assist them if Xtar is setup correctly

UseManualAssist=1 (1 is on, 0 is off)
AssistName=Charname (player to assist)

Are you using the macro or the plugin?

you said you '/bot on' .. but you have no [MQ2Bot] section (which is where the two lines i mentioned previously should go) ... and if you are using the bot macro and not editing the ini you probably aren't going to have anything happen until you do

it was not giving me this problem last week. /bot on did not inverse assist before.

why would it assist the opposite target than the tank is on Every time?
