Any strats?

I'm normally not the one leading, but I've been asked to help. I did the group event, is it close to what is needed for the raid?

Any thoughts, suggestions would be great. We keep getting blasted during the flying phase, he knocks us off and we die :(

The emote tells you which island he's blasting. If you're on that island, move off to one of the pathways in between the islands and you don't get blown off. No more than 6 people on the island otherwise your damage spells won't hit. It's pretty straight forward in terms of following the emotes. Tanks off killing the little dragons, healers sit on the little walkway between the islands, mages/druids on fire, wizards on ice, etc, etc.
 
North West and EAST are the platforms you want your melee dps on tank/knight and cleric , WEST being your HEAVY hitters dps wise during flight phase, others as stated previously here are your caster platforms and watch aura. HAVE to be careful to position him AWAY from the drake aura pit and NOT to leash him. Flight phases are 90 60 and 30 everyone must be up on platforms by these numbers. hope this helps.
 
For this event, the dragon Zalikor is active on the GROUND area or in the AIR, based on its health.

Around the room are ramps which lead to platforms, and each has an AURA. While in the aura we gain a boost to certain damage (cold, fire, magic, power/range and so forth).

Only ONE group (6 players), is allowed per platform.

Remaining groups available will be assigned to specific platforms that spawn ADDS.

Surrounding lava in event area damages 10k per tick.

Depending on your assigned area, please assist your MA as we RANGE DPS Zalikor forcing it to the air back to the ground repeatedly.


ZALIKOR IN AIR

Takes flight at: 90%, 59%, 29%

Damage AURA starts on GROUND. Do not be on the ground when Zalikor is flying, or you will die. Use the ramps to retreat to your assigned platform.

Cursed whelp ADDS spawn from the eggs on certain platforms. Assigned groups, you must kill them quickly, or Zalikor absorbs them and heals.

ONLY players IN AURAS can damage Zalikor. Only those assigned to an AURA apply to this area.

Throughout the event, Zalikor warns before AE'ing at a particular PLATFORM AURA. Any players in the aura must MOVE OUT OF IT or be KNOCKED INTO THE LAVA (10k damage per tick). After the AE fires, it is safe to return to the aura.

Zalikor POWERS UP the longer it is in the air when it lands back on the ground. In addition, it will randomly start to DT players.


ZALIKOR ON GROUND

Starts on the ground at 100%. Lands at: 79%, 49%, 19%

When Zalikor is on the ground, it does a FRONTAL KNOCKBACK.

Randomly summons players to PURPLE CRYSTAL and aura in middle of room. Player turns into a DRAKE with a massive DoT. CURE by RUNNING 130 feet in any direction.


GROUND to AIR -- AIR to GROUND

Between Zalikor either taking flight or landing, there's a DELAY and EMOTE when it is about to happen. This is to GIVE US TIME TO REACT.

EVERYONE - When Zalikor takes flight, we have 6 - 12 seconds before the ground DD aura kicks in. Get to your assigned ramps/platforms immediately please.

MAIN TANKS - When Zalikor lands, you have 6 to 12 seconds to get down there into position to tank it again (it warps to purple crystal). If you're late, it'll start randomly summoning people.

MAIN TANKS - Be mindful of the knockback. Zalikor is leashed to the event area, with lava as boundaries. Do not leash it, or it may reset HP.

So you have to be in AURA to Damage? Also which island is BEST on LOS? We can only squeeze 3 nukes each round on him. This is not enough.



What classes do you have where? Wizards ? Necros, etc...
 
The DMG auras also gives a boost to spell range, but A LOT! Using the auras is pretty critical to making sure you do this easily/quickly before too many power ups.


Line of sight is something you can't fix really, but the range boost means you can cast on him almost 100% of the time I think assuming you have LOS.
 
Rangers on ranged. I think usually Necros on disease poison or fire, Wizards on the Cold or fire if open. Chromatic you can land any spell from. Just have to learn to nuke as he he comes around. You can have up to 12 on an island but no more.

Tanks and Mellee north eggs, Tanks and Mellee west eggs. 1 group mellee maybe a tank east as those are easy. Any casters on chromatic can help east.

Main thing is people standing dead center in the island when he is flying over head so if you get knocked you have less chance of getting knocked off. Then can move to the edge and nuke/dot till he comes around again.

Some people will fall off an since the lava bugs corpses you want to make sure your banner is up on an island for safe ports back in.

As mentioned pull him a bit west and south from start point then face him north. That way when the knockback hits nobody goes flying into the lava.

As casters learn their bit will speed up but its a slow controlled fight while he is in the air. The baby dragons should not be an issue to kill. But you have to kill them if left up to long named eats them and regens.

He will power up longer he flies around, so it's not really a slow controlled fight... unless your looking for some tank pwnage after he lands.
 
Not sure I can confirm... but im pretty sure it is that number or there abouts. don't put too many eggs in one basket!
 
Usually not an issue. You have 2 groups North on eggs, 2 Groups West on eggs, Tank Group medding and getting ready for landing, Rangers on one island, 1 group East on eggs, usually only leaves one group for each of 2 other islands.
