MQ looks at the time stamp inside eqgame.exe to make sure it's injecting it's data into the correct spots. If timestamp is wrong, you get "Incorrect client version". My guess is the emu you are using it on has changed eqgame.exe.

Yeah MQ2NoGold was pulled. For good, I'm not sure. It wasn't a simple fix. If there is a large support to seeing it back I'll throw in some time on trying to fix it.

We just did a huge version update to our forum system today. (We were about 4 years out of date) There is a server move coming up in the next few weeks too as this one has gotten a bit laggy. Anywhoooo, if you spot any forum problems please post below so we can try and fix it.

I just put out a new dll for MQ2NoGold on update server that disables the plugin for the time being. The code in eqgame.exe has changed that MQ2NoGold uses. Someone smarter than me will need to look at fixing it.

gethostbyname error means it's failing to get ip address from host name. Try connecting via IP address instead of host name.

What server?

Yep, don't patch. It will be at least a few hours until a MQ update for the new client is out.
